Buah merupakan salah satu jenis sumber gizi yang penting bagi tubuh. Buah mengandung banyak mineral dan zat gizi yang dibutuhkan oleh tubuh. Tak jarang bahkan ada yang mengklaim bahwa buah bisa menjadi obat bagi berbagai macam penyakit.

Buah pepaya merupakan salah satu jenis buah yang bisa didapatkan di mana saja. Banyak yang belum mengetahu bahwa pepaya mengandung berbagai jenis zat gizi yang membantu dalam penyembuhan penyakit. Pepaya mengandung enzim papayin. Uniknya, enzim ini hanya terdapat dalam pepaya. Papayin berfungsi untuk membantu tubuh saat mengalami peradangan. Pepaya juga mengandung Beta karoten yang berfungsi sebagai antioksidan menjaga kekebalan tubuh.

Buah lain yang sering kita temui dan mengandung banyak manfaat adalah pisang. Pisang mengandung Triptofan yang merupakan salah satu zat penting untuk pertumbuhan. Di dalam tubuh, Triptofan diubah menjadi protein dan serotonin yang mengatur suasana hati. Maka tak heran jika pisang diklaim sebagai buah penangkal stres. Kandungan potasium dalam pisang juga membuat tubuh bekerja normal.

Pepaya dan pisang hanyalah dua jenis buah yang memiliki manfaat luar biasa bagi tubuh. Masih ada buah lain seperti apel. Apel bahkan diklaim mengandung zat antikanker. Zat ajaib dalam apel ini disebut polifenol yang membantu mencegah dan memperbaiki sel tubuh agar tidak rusak.

Dengan berbagai khasiatnya, buah seharusnya menjadi makanan konsumsi utama sehari-hari. Namun, rupanya tak sedikit yang mengganggap buah sekadar selingan, atau malah sama sekali tidak mengonsumsi buah.
